HaShir Shelanu (Our Song) is an Israeli daily musical drama (4 seasons, 366 episodes) that aired on yes from 21 March 2004 to 24 April 2007. Created after Ninet Tayeb’s Kokhav Nolad win, it follows Ninet Levi at Yardena Tamir’s music academy and her romance with Zohar Lahat (Ran Danker). The opening theme “Od Me’at” was performed by Tayeb and the cast.

A spin-off, Tichon HaShir Shelanu, followed in 2009.

What is the show about?

Ninet Levi from Kiryat Gat arrives at Yardena Tamir's prestigious music academy, works in the cafeteria, is revealed as a singer and falls in love with Zohar Lahat.

Noa Shahar and Dana Schnir do everything to split them up. In the background: a reality show about student life, family secrets, and the crime organization of the Kaspi/Silver families.

From season three the series becomes a "show within a show": the first two seasons were the filming of HaShir Shela ("Her Song"), and the plot shifts to the actors' lives-and to an army band.

Production

Tedi Productions created the series to capitalize on Ninet Tayeb's popularity after Kokhav Nolad.

It aired daily on yes, won the Golden Screen for daily drama, and rights to the first two seasons were sold to Keshet.

The spin-off Tichon HaShir Shelanu followed in 2009.
