Pokémon is a Japanese anime television series that premiered on TV Tokyo in 1997, produced by OLM. Adapted from Satoshi Tajiri's Game Boy games, it follows young trainers and their creatures.

The early seasons center on Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town and his partner Pikachu, traveling with friends such as Misty and Brock, battling other trainers and Team Rocket.

What is the show about?

Ash Ketchum receives Pikachu from Professor Oak and sets out across the Kanto region.

Each episode is a stop along the road: a new trainer, a rare Pokémon, or a Team Rocket scheme.

The idea stays simple - friendship, training, and the promise to catch them all.

In Israel

The Hebrew dub was recorded at N.L.S. Yafa Gabay directed the first ten seasons on the Kids Channel.

Uzi Fox sang the early opening themes.

Seasons 14-16 (Black & White) were not dubbed or broadcast in Israel.
