The Adventures of Ionuț (Romanian: Peripețiile lui Ionuț) is a Romanian animated series produced by Animafilm in the 1980s. It follows a small boy, Ionuț, and his mishaps with the mischievous cat Tom (Pusy) and the bulldog Manole.
The characters barely speak: stories play out through gestures, sound effects and music, which made the show easy to export.
French DVD releases used the title Tom et le méchant matou; in Israel it was known as טום חתול שובב (Tom the Mischievous Cat).
Episodes mix short slapstick with gentle educational beats - counting, friendship, and discovering the world around the child.
