Video Chazak was an Israeli music magazine show from Educational Television, aired on Channel 2 from 1994. It covered Israeli and international music of the period with music videos, live performances, artist interviews, field reports and behind-the-scenes looks at the music industry and video-clip production.

The original hosts were Yael Karavan, Ron Levantel and Gil Sassover.

Lilach Barnea also hosted later on.

About the show

Video Chazak was a youth music magazine that combined several shooting locations and content types rather than a standard studio talk show.

In the original format the program aired Friday afternoons and evenings.

Yael Karavan hosted segments from a discotheque, with a live music-broadcast atmosphere and performances by singers and bands.

A significant part of each episode was field reports: artist interviews, behind-the-scenes visits and stories about music and music-video production.

Gil Sassover mainly presented studio link segments connecting the reports, clips and other parts of the show.

Later Video Chazak changed format and moved to Sunday broadcasts at 17:30-no later than March 1995. That version dropped the live discotheque segments but continued to mix music videos, interviews, field reports and links.

Yael Karavan left the show and later moved abroad.

In her farewell episode she chose songs she loved.

Another host joined afterward, though her identity has not been fully verified.

Archived material includes reports on artists and bands such as Teapacks, Aviv Geffen and Rami Kleinstein, plus a 1994-1995 year-end summary.
