Inyan Shel Zman (A Matter of Time) is an Israeli teen drama that ran on Israeli Educational Television from 2 September 1992 to 13 May 1996 (4 seasons, 57 episodes). It follows high-school students in north Tel Aviv - Ido Markovich (Moshe Ben-Basat) and Yehezkel Weizman (Shay Capon) among them - through school, love, army enlistment and coming-of-age. The theme was written by Ehud Manor, composed by Rami Kleinstein and sung by Gidi Gov. A spin-off, 20 Plus, followed in 1998.

What is the show about?

Inyan Shel Zman is set at a high school in north Tel Aviv and follows one class over four years-from eleventh grade through graduation.

Alongside the stories of Ido, Weizman, Dana and Sharon, almost every episode also explores a supporting character's world.

For early-1990s youth TV the show did not shy from heavy themes: social gaps, army enlistment, drugs, teen pregnancy and bulimia, alongside first loves and breakups in the schoolyard.

Theme song

Ehud Manor wrote "Inyan Shel Zman," Rami Kleinstein composed it and Gidi Gov sang it-a rhythmic version for the opening and a softer version sometimes heard at episode end. Both versions appear on the album Shirim SheHitpazru ("Songs That Got Away"). In the final episode the cast themselves sang the theme.
