Conan and the Young Warriors is a 1994 animated action-fantasy series continuing the story of Conan the Adventurer.
It follows Conan in a new role as mentor and protector of three young warriors with special powers.
It originally aired on CBS in the United States and comprised one season of 13 episodes.
Plot
After the events of Conan the Adventurer, Epimetrius assigns Conan a new mission: to protect and train three young warriors - Draegen, Brynne and Navah.
Each of the three holds one of the Star Stones that grants a special ability:
Draegen - magical armor.
Brynne - illusions.
Navah - communication and control related to animals.
The main antagonist is the sorceress Sulinara, who seeks to obtain the Star Stones.
The winged creature Graak assists her.
Over 13 episodes Conan protects the youths and teaches them to work together.
Characters
Conan - the hero returning from the original series, now mentor and protector of the young warriors.
He still carries his Star Metal sword.
Draegen - one of the three young warriors.
His Star Stone can grant him magical armor.
Brynne - one of the young warriors.
Her Star Stone allows her to create illusions.
Navah - one of the young warriors.
His power is tied to animals.
Epimetrius - a returning character from Conan the Adventurer, who assigns Conan the new mission.
Sulinara - the main antagonist, seeking the Star Stones.
Graak - a winged creature who aids Sulinara.
Connection to Conan the Adventurer
Conan and the Young Warriors is a sequel to Conan the Adventurer, not a reboot.
The story takes place after the main events of the original series.
Conan and Epimetrius return, but Conan's regular group - Zula, Jezmine, Greywolf, Snagg and Needle - is not the central team in the follow-up.
Instead the series focuses on Conan training Draegen, Brynne and Navah.
The series continues the motif of star-related powers: Conan carries his Star Metal sword, and the young warriors hold Star Stones.
